ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Steven was born in Edinburgh in 1983, and is where he currently writes and resides today. It was in the mid-1990's that he began to write stories after being influenced by the horror books and movies of Stephen King and countless others. This fascination of the macabre grew and Steven left high school in 2000 to pursue various college media courses, gaining awards in several classes including creative writing and film production.
During this time, Steven wrote stories for many small press publications: Guy N. Smith's Graveyard Rendezvous (where Steven picked up a first place prize); LighthouseMediaOne's Maelstrom 1 anthology; and Paul Kane's Shadow Writers Volume 2. It was with regular emails and invaluable tips from UK horror author Paul Kane that encouraged Steven to hone the talent that he so persistently used. Paul's advice proved that with continuous effort and practise, there was room for improvement that would definitely show in time.
January 2006 saw the publication of A Dead Calmness, Steven's book of stories that he wrote from when he left high school. A unique bunch of tales, Steven's book blends the fantastic with the ordinary and offers every horror fan something different.
August of the same year sees the release of his second short story collection, Things From The Past, to be published by Hadesgate Publications.
